You can practice your idea and logic, problem-solving, and programming skills.
Frequently asked questions
😀 User Registration
Q) Is user registration mandatory?
A) No, it is not. However, user registration and a nickname are required if you want to engage in coding play or use macros.
Q) Why is a nickname necessary?
A) Usage information, including activity records and server rankings, are managed based on your nickname. If you delete a user from the system menu and register with a new nickname, the activity record of the previous nickname will remain on the server. Please note, however, that the previous nickname cannot be reused.
⌨️ Saving Your Code
Q) Where is my code saved?
A) The code you write is stored on the device where you coded through the Coding Playground App. Even if you use multiple devices with the same nickname, the created code is stored independently for each device. Coding Playground provides various code management systems and services, including: 1. Local Code ◦ This is the most recent user code saved in the coding tab of each game, and it is stored on individual devices. 2. Local Backup Code ◦ When you create and save a code in the coding tab of each game and run it, a duplicate is automatically saved in the backup code storage space of the local device. ◦ The saved backup code can be retrieved as needed. Regularly delete unnecessary backup codes from the management page. 3. Ranking Code ◦ The code that runs when the created code is successfully played and the result is registered in the ranking system is saved in the system along with the score. ◦ In competitive games, the code registered in the ranking system becomes the opponent of other users. ◦ The registered ranking code can be downloaded and reviewed by other users. 4. Cloud Code ◦ Users can choose to save local codes in the cloud. ◦ Cloud codes can be downloaded and used without restrictions from devices associated with the same user. ◦ (Currently unsupported) We plan to introduce a feature that allows other users to download and use cloud codes after following specific procedures. 5. Downloaded Code ◦ You can download the code shared by other users according to the ranking. ◦ Downloaded codes can be retrieved as needed. Also, regularly delete unnecessary codes from the management page.
📱 Using Multiple Devices
Q) Is it possible to use multiple devices under the same nickname?
A) Yes, it is indeed possible. You can connect and use multiple devices under a single nickname. ◦ Users can easily register their devices by scanning a QR code, which is provided on their existing devices, with their new devices. ◦ Please note, that the Coding Playground is an application designed exclusively for iPads.
🎮 Play Mode
Q) What kinds of play modes are available in the Coding Playground?
A) It offers four different play modes 1. Think Mode ◦ This mode allows manual play for most games, helping players to understand the game rules and strategize by physically interacting with the game. 2. Macro Mode ◦ For certain games, we offer Macro Mode. This mode allows you to set specific actions based on the game's conditions, which can assist with manual play. ◦ Even if you're not familiar with coding, you can create and execute saved macros by assembling code blocks. 3. Coding Mode ◦ In Coding Mode, you use local code to play. If it's a single-player game, the result is directly recorded in the ranking system. ◦ To register in the ranking for the first time, you need to complete three games. 4. Ranking Mode ◦ For competitive games, you'll need to compete against the computer-controlled players provided by the app. ◦ Ranking Mode is a subset of Coding Mode where you compete against codes from other users, registered on the server. The outcomes of these competitions influence the game's ranking points. ◦ You engage in three matches against the assigned user's code in Ranking Mode. After these three matches, the result is updated on the server, and the given opponent, the user, is reset.
